Today is my Dads 74th Birthday

In 1933 my dad was born in San Luis Potosi Mexico, ( that is north of mexico city) the oldest of 8 two of them are half sisters that my grandpa had while still married to my grandma.

My dad got up early in the morning to do all his chores on the farm helped my grandpa BEFORE going to school, at a young age and still in school dad worked as a milkman. Dad graduated top in his class, so top that he taught the lower classes first grade to 12th before he graduated, To this day people there in his home town call him the PROFESSOR.

Wasn't my dad cute in this picture?

When my dad got older he built my grandparent's a new house wich is now a crumble mess and my aunts built there vacation homes there (they now live in the city). He left there to go into the mexican military and when he was done with that he left for California to work to send my grandparent's money, my grandpa was retireing and my aunt's and uncle's were getting married and someone had to support my grandparents. All 3 of my aunts took care of the house and one of my uncles also my aunts husband help take care of the farm.

My grandparents are gone now but I know my dad sent them money even after he himself moved to the US (with a greencard that he still has to this day) and got married to my mom and he wasn't working because he was in the hospital to remove a kidney (when he was a kid he fell out of a tree and losened up one of his kidneys, didn't even know why he had pain in his lower for years until 1966 he fould out it was just floating around and not being used) He still sent money to my grandparents, he even sent money to pay for their funerals when they passed.

All my cousins to this day LOVE my dad cause he gave of himself (his time). They also think he's very rich to live in the US, but he's far from it and they know that now. They are all married themselfs and 3 of them live in the US (with a green cards and my 2 girls cousins married milatary guys who were transfered to the US).

I miss going every year to visit my family in Mexico. We use to go every year for the time I was 2 and my sister was 12 months old until I was 18 and my sister was 17. We couldn't go or I should say my dad didn't want to go anymore because my sister and I started working and they (my parents) didn't go back exept once before my dad's mom passed away in 87 and it was just my dad that went.

B wont go there cause he's afriad that something will happen to him, because of what happen to Grampy (Beepo) in Mexico when they stole his car.

My uncles and my one aunt that has visited here said they would take care of us and wouldn't let anything happen to us.

Well that's the long of the short of it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD, I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!!

I love him very much, and when god calls him home I know I will be a mess.

I hate that he does more for me than my sister. . . But my sister still lives with them and her 2 boy's 17 and 15.

He also got burned by her more than once and sometime I don't blame him for doing more for me than her.

When she gets on my nerves, sometime I like to point that out to her.

Is that wrong?

It sounds to me like he's doing MORE than enough for her by letting her stay there. How can you possibly feel bad and think he does more for you?

And, no....it's not wrong to want to point out the obvious to those who can't see it sometimes......
