Need Suggestions

I'm getting ready to make another pair of mittens for Ellie, a little bet bigger.

I'm trying to think of something to put in between the layers so she won't get her hands wet and mingers all red and cold when she's old enough to play in the snow.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Something that wont disintegrate, something that will last even in the washer and dryer.

I just finished Ellie's (Kellie's baby, Andrea and Rich's granddaughter) Mittens. What do you all think? I hope that Kellie likes them, I'm getting ready to make her another pair, but bigger.
