Rosie....you sound like you're READY for it to be over......I'm always sad when it's over because then there's nothing to look forward to until Spring, and that takes FOREVER!!!!!!
I'm torn. Glad the shopping's over - looking forward to the gift giving and family gathering but I'm also ready for it to be behind me.
Oh Alligal, there's lots to look forward to.....snow storms, sunny days, fog, ice, sunrises, sunsets and all those other things I love to take pictures of each day.
Don't get me wrong. I love getting together with our family especialy Grammy. I'm just over the buying, I buy for everyone (that is just how I am I can't help it.) But I could use some kind of help from B.
I'm going to be off work for almost 2 week and for those two week that I'm off I don't get paid. So no money coming in from both of us.
I know it's hard. It's a huge expense and it can be depressing and overwhelming too. We shouldn't make it such a burdon should we. Every year we say we won't - this year I did cut back on the adults a lot (but you WILL LOVVVVVVE what I got you I think).
Next year, how about you just make a donation to Urban Promise (the school Ivan Stevens goes to) in my name. Charity is all I really care about doing anymore anyway. I have enough "stuff" in my life, it's time for me to leave my mark on the world. Since I'm probably never going to have kids, I want to help other kids who don't good home lives. I really think that's what God put me on this planet to do. So you can take back everything you got me and give 20.00 to Urban Promise in my name and I'd be thrilled!
